Paul was the first grandchild of Robert Clegg Harrop and Margaret Harrop, and was the firstborn son of Norman Harrop and Jean Harrop. I am the next oldest of his cousins and have many happy childhood memories of family weddings and Christmas parties we spent together as children. He was very kind and always good fun. We went every year to the party arranged by the Bloomfield Working Men's Club to the Christmas party and we sat together on the same table with my sister and enjoyed the fun. Sadly I have no family pictures, but I do have a few memories of having photos taken together as children, particularly at Uncle Bob's and Uncle Derek's weddings, both of these days were happy childhood memories for me. We lost touch over the years, and it was good to catch up again at Caroline's wedding, and see him running after his lovely boys, who he spoke about with love and pride. I think this is a wonderful idea, and it is good to use this occasion to raise money for a worthwhile charity, I would never have known about.
